Οκτώβριος 1940. Χωρίς να το θέλει, προδομένος από τον Πρίγκιπα Yakimov, το όνομα του Guy έχει εμφανιστεί σε μια λίστα θανάτου της Γκεστάπο. Το διαμέρισμα στο Πρινγκλ λεηλατήθηκε και η Εβραία πρόσφυγας, Σάσα Ντράκερ, εξαφανίστηκε. Το Βουκουρέστι κατακλύζεται από Γερμανούς και είναι καιρός οι Άγγλοι να αποχωρήσουν.
