Marcus Vinicius meets Lygia in Rome and falls in love. But she is Christian and doesn\'t want anything to do with him. Marcus decides to kidnap her but Ursus, her bodyguard, catches Marcus. After that, Lygia falls in love, but Marcus must go to meet Nero. After the meeting somebody told Marcus that Nero burnt Rome. Marcus decides to go back to Rome and find Lygia.

Ο Marcus Vinicius συναντά τη Lygia στη Ρώμη και την ερωτεύεται. Εκείνη όμως είναι χριστιανή και δεν θέλει να έχει καμία σχέση μαζί του. Ο Μάρκος αποφασίζει να την απαγάγει, αλλά ο Ούρσος, ο σωματοφύλακάς της, πιάνει τον Μάρκο. Μετά από αυτό, η Lygia τον ερωτεύεται, αλλά ο Μάρκος πρέπει να πάει να συναντήσει τον Νέρωνα. Μετά τη συνάντηση κάποιος λέει στον Μάρκο ότι ο Νέρωνας έκαψε τη Ρώμη. Ο Μάρκος αποφασίζει να επιστρέψει στη Ρώμη και να βρει τη Lygia.
